Back to the Barbie today! MAC Viva Glam Nicki was unfortunately a limited edition in the Viva Glam range, which is a right pain as I adore this colour. My Mommy treated me to this when it first came out as we have a thing about finding the perfect air hostess pink, and we both thought this gorgeous colour would fit the bill. Flamingo pink and a satin finish, it is a warm toned coral pink. The only downside that I find to MAC is the sheer amount of limited editions and as this colour was specially formulated for Nicki Minaj herself, with her creative input, I have a sneaky suspicion that it will not come back into circulation again. Which is really sad, as I want another one. Damn you limited editions!
Th colour is opaque when applied and the satin finish means it is semi matte but creamy and not at all drying. I get around 5 hours of wear from MAC Viva Glam Nicki and it doesn’t dry out on my lips. I’ve tried to find a decent dupe for Nicki, but the colour is so unique that I am struggling. MAC Chatterbox is the nearest in colour however it is a tad darker.
As with all Viva Glam lipsticks, the entire proceeds after tax go to the MAC Aids Foundation so effectively you are helping fundraise and there is no excuse for not giving to charity. The latest MAC Viva Glam is the Rihanna, so if you can manage to get hold of one, then you can do your bit for such a good cause. This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
