So late in bringing this baby to the table but I’ve been shying away from doing posts that have to include pictures of my face. Bad skin problems, you know what its like! So, anyway, here it is in all its glory, the MAC Proenza Schouler Ombre Blush in Ocean City. I also apologise as the likelihood of you being able to get hold of one is slim. Sorry.
The MAC Proenza Schouler Ombre Blush was released back in April as part of the limited edition collection by Proenza Schouler. A capsule collection of beautifully packaged products, there was only one item that I was lusting after.
The ombre blush in Ocean City is a warm toned blush that has the most incredible vibrant orange that blends into coral and pink and finally a soft tan colour. I love how you can choose a colour from the compact as a blush or use the compact swirled together to make a custom shade. The tan colour makes a great contour shade too, so its quite versatile.
The swatches above are taken from the top, middle and bottom of the blush. I think the vibrancy of the orange drew me to this blush and I would wear the orange on its own. The silky satin formula of the blush makes it very easy to apply as well as blend to a wearable colour that it perfect for the summer months, teamed with a vibrant coral lip.
As well as the colour of the blush being insanely beautiful and versatile, the packaging is just as gorgeous. I think Proenza Schouler have nailed the design with the rainbow metallic ombre, and the entire collection looks sleek, chic and effortless.
