Considering I wasn’t going to buy much from the MAC Fantasy of Flowers collection, I seem to have quite a few bits. I spoke about Dreaming Dahlia lipstick and Azalea in the Afternoon blush here, and today I am going to show you my gorgeous cremesheen glass in Playful Petal.
MAC Playful Petal Cremesheen Glass is described by MAC as ‘electric magenta’. It is a vivid, vibrant blue toned fuchsia pink with fine blue glitter sparkles suspended within the gloss. Although in the tube the colour looks quite vivid, when it is applied the natural pigmentation of my lips means that the gloss looks very sheer and clear on me. The thing that I absolutely adore is the glitter sparkles. In some lights they look pink, in some lights they look blue or purple. The sparkles do make Playful Petal into something truly unique. I am a huge lover of the MAC Dazzleglasses so when I saw the colour in the tube, I was expecting the intesity of a Dazzleglass. The Cremesheen Glasses are so much sheerer than Dazzleglasses however the glitter explosion on your lips does rival the dazzleglass.
I have been wearing Playful Petal alone for a touch of sparkle and also over MAC Heroine to give my vivid purple lipstick a hint of glossiness. Out of all the different types of glosses MAC do, I don’t think this is the longest wearing however the overall effect makes it worthwhile. An hour of wear is what I got out of MAC Playful Petal Cremesheen Glass in total, but the glitter remained visible a lot longer. As the gloss wore off, it didn’t get too sticky but left a nice sheen. Although the gloss does look quite sheer on me, it also looks like I have a good thick application even though I haven’t used more than my usual amount.
MAC Playful Petal Cremesheen Glass is a limited edition but it is back instock at MAC UK priced £17.50
