MAC is Beauty is the newest launch from MAC and whilst in Orlando last week, I was lucky enough to get chance to view the promo as well as grab a couple of the limited edition colours in my USA Haul. The promo took place over 3 days and the Florida Mall was transformed into a girly pink paradise with MAC artists glamming up shoppers whilst a DJ played the latest tracks. I got chatting to one of the artists and he was telling me how MAC artists were flown in from LA and NYC especially for this promo. How exciting. The collection is mainly focused around new lipsticks, however it is made up of a handful of eyeshadows, fluidlines, beauty powders and lip glosses, all in very pretty pastel shades. I purchased Make Me Gorgeous and Diva-ish, and if I have timed this post correctly, the MAC is Beauty rangeshould be hitting the UK today. Fingers crossed!
Make Me Gorgeous is described as an intense coral pink with an amplified creme finish. Although it is an amplified creme, it has a satin finish when worn and lasts for an impressive 4 hours. Its non drying with great coverage and shine and the colour is just perfect for summer. It’s quite a light coral with warm pink undertones. It reminds me of a cross between Dreaming Dahlia (Fantasy of Flowers collection) and Toying Around (Playland collection).
Diva-ish is described as an intense fuchsia with and amplified creme finish. It is a medium deep fuchsia pink, again with a satin finish. Wear time for Diva-ish wasn’t as long as Make Me Gorgeous, and I found this to be slightly more drying and did cling to dry patches. It’s such a beautiful wearable shade and I think this one will be one of my new air hostess lip colours. It does remind me of a less intense Girl About Town.
I’m waiting for the MAC is Beauty to hit the UK as I want to grab Reel Sexy and Silly whilst I can. What have you seen from the MAC is Beauty collection that you can’t live without?
