I’ve been really getting into the Lord and Berry brand lately. I only tried my first products a few weeks ago and I wasn’t really familiar with the brand at all until then. Whilst browsing the Look Fantastic webpage, I actually couldn’t get my head round how a brand with so many products in the range hadn’t fallen under my radar, especially with a range that includes so many lip products! I’ve got my hands on two of the Lord and Berry Lipsticks from the range, one from the Vogue collection and one from the Absolute Intensity collection.
As you all know, I am a pink lipstick lover through and through so I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone and introduce some different shades into my life. I’m not one of those girls who will save berry coloured lips until Winter, so I have been wearing Lord and Berry Absolute Intensity Lipstick in Purple Rain instead of my usual fuchsia pink shades. I must first of all admit that it has taken me sometime to get used to wearing such a deep colour so I don’t think my usual confidence of carrying a colour was there for quite sometime. Once I got over the initial ‘Oh I’m not sure this is me’, I embraced those purple glossy lips like a boss. The lipstick itself is a very creamy and very glossy satin formula, and it can be built up to a desired shade. As with all lipstick swatches, I applied straight from the bullet, but a lip liner and lip brush would give a more precise application. Longevity is actually really good for such a glossy formula, and I got around 4 hours wear including staining, and around 2 hours before the glossiness started to disappear. It definitely didn’t dry out, and gave a subtle hydration throughout the day.
A good fuchsia pink is a staple in my make up bag, and it is a colour that I have been wearing for so many years. In fact, when I don’t wear a bright pink for work, people tell me that I don’t look myself! Lord and Berry Vogue Lipstick in Fuchsia has become a bit of a handbag essential over the last few weeks due to not only the colour but the incredible formulation. The Vogue lipsticks are a matte formula but they are so comfortable to wear. The formula is filled with emollient waxes that give a semi matte finish when first applied that settles down into a fully matte, velvet finish. It’s none drying, doesn’t drag or pull on application and it lasts for around 6 hours on the lips. It didn’t cling to dry patches and stayed put for the majority of my flight at work. I’m so impressed!
Both the Absolute Intensity and Vogue ranges have an extensive shade range and a brilliant price point of just £13. I also have my eyes on a few of the 20100 Shiny and Matte jumbo pencils. Why don’t you have a look at the full range on Lord and Berry.
