I’ve been doing so much for charity lately and it has all ended with me gaining a new lipstick. Last week it was the MAC Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick for the MAC Aids Fund and this week I’ve been helping raise funds for Comic Relief. I like the charity events that occur throughout the year and I do donate to quite a lot of charities. Comic Relief is back on Friday 13th March for an evening of fun and laughter whilst the donations come flooding in for worthy causes. On the run up to Red Nose Day, you’ll be seeing lots of Comic Relief fundraising going on from big brands. The entire list of partners can be found on the Comic Relief website. One of the partners is Rimmel and they have given the ever so popular Kate Moss 01 lipstick a mini makeover ready for the event.
The Rimmel Red Nose Red by Kate for Comic Relief is a limited edition packaging of Kate’s top selling shade 01. I didn’t have this in my collection for some reason so when I saw the tweets from Rimmel to say it was having a makeover, I was desperate to get it. I think there was some confusion as a few girls who I spoke to believed it was a brand new limited edition colour and not just an update on the packaging. None the less, its for a great cause and £1.67 from the sale of each £5.49 lipstick goes directly to Comic Relief. According to the Rimmel website, the sales have raised around £50,000 so far, but I don’t think this is good enough so I am urging you to pick one up.
The limited edition packaging is the signature Kate Moss for Rimmel packaging with little red noses adorning the lid. It is very cute. I honestly do not understand why I don’t have more of the Kate Moss lipsticks as I love Kate 16, and I find the formula to be so long wearing and highly pigmented. The lipstick in the bullet looks to be a lot darker than wjhat it looks like on the lips. On the lip it’s a clean true red that would flatter any skin tone and complexion. The pigmentation is amazing, I’m seriously impressed by it. Wear time is around 4-5 hours with staining and I find the formula to be very creamy although it does cling to dry patches. It’s very reminiscent of the MAC cremesheen formula with a sateen finish and a fully opaque coverage.
Boots have the best deal on at the moment with 2 for £10 on Rimmel Cosmetics which does include Rimmel Red Nose Red by Kate for Comic Relief. Will you be picking one up? I hope so!
