I made myself a promise this year that I was only allowed to buy one beauty item in the January sales, in a bid to stop myself from buying things unnecessarily. I decided to choose one thing that I was really looking forward to trying and that happened to be the Laura Mercier Creme Brulee bath duo. Reduced from £30 to £15, this is definitely a little slice of heaven for hardly any pennies. Perfect.
I ordered from Space NK on the 27th December. Unfortunately, I only received it on the 7th January which means it took 12 days to get it to me. I fully appreciate that sale periods are exceptionally busy however for a whopping £5 delivery charge, I did have slightly higher expectations. Saying that, from the moment my item got dispatched, it arrived less that 24 hours from the dispatch email. Which I think is pretty good.
The Laura Mercier Creme Brulee bath duo contains 150g bath salts and 150g of body souffle. The Creme Brulee scent is just out of this world. It smells like dessert. A rich warming French vanilla bean combined with a white musk, my skin smells like caramel whilst feeling soft and luxurious. The souffle melts into my skin beautifully and only a tiny amount is needed to cover my body. Having not used bath salts for a long time, I was a bit dubious about the size of the salts and how well they would dissolve however a small sprinkle in my bath melted quickly and left my bath water feeling very extravagant.
The gift set would make a wonderful present as the box it comes in is very pretty. It looks expensive and the products inside are just divine. I think I may have to buy the full size, and I would love to try the Wild Fig and also the Almond Coconut. I cannot stop smelling my arms, they smell good enough to eat! I think all my Soap and Glory bath products will soon be replaced with Laura Merciers! You can find a large range of products on the Selfridges website.
