Another box to browse through and this time its the Editors box from Latest in Beauty. I loved the last box I received from LIB so I was quick to get a new one when I received an email offering me 10% off and free delivery.
The box contained a massive ten products from various brands, some I’d heard of and some new to me. This is what I got:
Bellápierre Mineral Eye Shadow (2.35g)
AS London Candle
EVE LOM Rescue Mask (15ml)
Mavala Rouge Rubis Nail Varnish (5ml)
Mirenesse Lip Lift Moisture Shine (1.5g)
Nicky Clarke Instant Calmer (30ml)
Nspa Melting Cleansing Gel (30ml)
The Vintage Cosmetics Company Eye Shadow Brush (Full Size)
Benefit They’re Real Mascara (3.0g)
Yardley Refreshing Body Spray (75ml)
Out of all the products, the two I didn’t like were the Yardley Body Spray and the AS Candle. I’m not sure what scent the candle was supposed to be but its not pleasant at all. Also the Yardley spray reminded me of old ladies and I’m not keen on the scent of roses so this got given to my old lady neighbour. Also the lip gloss is a funny mauve colour and not really my cup of tea.
Everyone has been raving about Nspa products lately, with the melting cleasing gel being quite a hyped up product. Unfortunately its not great on my skin, as it makes me feel very dried out and its not comfortable to put on. The two step cleanser starts of as a gel but once water is added it turns into a milk. It is probably more suited to oilier skins than mine. Shame, as it smells lovely and looks very nice in the tube.
I’ve not yet tried the Eve Lom rescue mask, the Nicky Clarke instant calmer or the Mavala varnish, but they’re on my list of things to do!
Finally, my eyes had a nice treat when I sampled the Bella Pierre pigment shadow. I used the Vintage Cosmetic Company brush to apply the shadow over the top of a primer and used They’re Real on my lashes. Ever so pretty! I’ve noticed that Bella Pierre and Vintage Cosmetics Company are being sold on QVC now, so it leads me to believe that they are really trying to push the brand out there. The brush was lovely and very similar to MAC 239 brush however the bristles aren’t as soft.
I’m looking forward to my next Latest in Beauty box.
