Last Minute Gifts from World Duty Free

This weekend will see the highest levels of passengers passing through the airports to take flights over the world to see family and friends. I love the week before Christmas where every sensation feels heightened and the excitement starts building. I’ve been indulging all month and I’ve been out a lot but now it’s time to get those last minute gifts. It’s a good job that World Duty Free has an incredible selection of products in major UK airports, so if you have missed a gift opportunity, heading through duty free will see you right. I’ve put together some fab bits that any makeup and beauty lover would love to receive for Christmas.

I spoke about the Replica by Maison Margiela fragrances previously but I couldn’t not include this gorgeous range within this post. Whilst I only have two fragrances at the moment, my need for By The Fireplace is growing stronger the more I think about it. The range is small yet perfectly formed and each scent transports you back to a memory, a thought and a feeling. It’s such a wonderful collection.

I don’t feel that an airport visit would be complete without a trip to the Jo Malone store. Before you purchase your new fragrance, you can treat yourself to some jet set beauty with a complimentary arm massage and a lesson on fragrance layering. It was within Jo Malone Manchester T1 that I discovered that whilst I wasn’t a huge fan of Honeysuckle and Davana to begin with, when layered with English Pear and Freesia it creates the most wonderful warming and sparkling floral scent.

I love to pick up new skincare when passing through the airport as the duty free price makes my favourite skincare brand Elemis become very attractively priced. I am obsessed with the Pro Collagen Marine Cream and the Pro Collagen Perfection Set is such good value for both a day cream, night cream and a sachet of hydra gel eye masks. I would be over the moon to receive Elemis for Christmas.

The team at Clinique would love to welcome you to try the brand new Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly and I would definitely recommend you to have five or ten minute consultation to see just what your skin needs. The newest launch from Clinique has really made an impact on my day to day routine and I am really enjoying how the jelly is combating this cold weather to keep my skin feeling plumped up and moisturised. It’s a must for your shopping basket.

I’ve been spoilt for choice whilst browsing the aisles of World Duty Free so I’m sure you’d be able to find last minute presents with ease. Not only will you find a large selection of Christmas gift sets but you can pick up individual items to complete collections and make that special someone smile. I have got my hands on a few items that I have been saving for this time of year.

For New Years Eve, I picked up the Urban Decay Moondust eye shadow in Space Cowboy. The sparkliest, diamond dust shine without any glitter fragments, this will look incredible for a sexy and sophisticated reflective look. So subtle but packs one hell of a punch. Another product that has been saved for NYE is the Urban Decay Hi Fi Shine Gloss is SPL. Mega glossy, super volume, intense sparkle with a peppermint kick. Another product that I am living for.

Also from Urban Decay, the much loved and well hyped Born To Run palette. I think that this palette is insanely good and with the shades within it, there is no reason that you should need any other palette. I have been saving this for the New Year so I can give it all the love it deserves however I’ve tentatively took the step into its creamy and buttery shadow goodness and I have to say that I have been very impressed. At just £35 for a 21 pan palette with every colour you could ever need, you would be a fool to not pick it up.

Moving into 2019, the colour of the year will be Living Coral, that gloriously fun and fresh pink orange shade that is so flattering on many skintones. It appears that I must have had an inkling on this back in September as I picked up a lipstick ready for spring and chose YSL Rouge Pur Couture in 52. The actual embodiment of the Living Coral, this shade is to die for!

I am trying to keep a more slimline lip wardrobe but when I come across beautiful velvet lip formulations like the Armani Lip Maestro, I just can’t help but want the full set. Shades 500; a mauve tinted pink and 400; The Red, they are simply the most beautiful lip shades with formulations to die for. One of the most incredibly lightweight and non drying matte finishes which wear well throughout the day and provide the perfect pout. I am obsessed.

We’ve been lucky so far with the milder weather but come January and February, we will be experiencing freezing cold days and an overloading of the central heating. I can only wear very light foundations when it’s this cold as everything cracks and flakes and generally looks awful. Now that Estee Lauder have reformulated the Double Wear Light formula with a fantastic shade range, I am living for the medium coverage, glowing luminosity and the perfect match to my skin tone.

What will you be picking up from World Duty Free this weekend?
