My guilty pleasure is cleansing. I have a slight obsession with cleansers and washing my face. I’m rather particular about cleansing after I’ve been on the aircraft as I know how filthy dirty that place can be and I need some hard core skincare action to get the layers of grime and Double Wear off my face. A double cleanse is necessary to make sure my face is squeaky clean followed by the usual toning and moisturising. I’ve recently discovered a new brand who were totally unheard but now I have not only found their webpage but my local salon stocks their products and services. Amazing. Katherine Daniels Cosmetics is a quintessentially British brand, using active ingredients from plant, marine, collagen and biotechnology sources. Developed to help treat the most common skin conditions, I have been using the Dry Skin Trial Pack* and Concentrate for Dry Skin*
The Katherine Daniels Cosmetic range contain products for the body as well as the face. The skincare is split into four categories: Skin Essentials, Skin Boost, Skin Defence and Skin Treats. Within each category you will find a range of cleansers, toners, serums, creams and masques so you can effectively hand pick a full selection specifically designed to target your skins needs. I personally have normal/combination skin with signs of dehydration from flying. I tend to use skincare that is targeted specifically at dry/dehydrated skin especially post flight to add that much needed moisture back into my skin.
The Trial Kit for Dry Skin, £32.50 is a great flight bag sized set and has come in so handy, especially when I haven’t wanted to take my large case away but still need all my toiletries. It contains the Essential Cleansing Milk, Essential Toning Lotion and Dry Skin Cream. I’m not really used to using a cleansing milk and it was strange at first having such a thin consistency on my skin. However, the milk itself is quite a treat and removes all traces of makeup whilst leaving my skin feeling so soft and smooth, and with no post cleansing redness. The toner is alcohol free and is a lightly scented liquid that leaves my skin feeling cool and refreshed without any tightening or redness. To finish the routine, I would add the Dry Skin Cream but I have been using the Katherine Daniels Cosmetics Concentrate for Dry Skin, £34.50 before I apply my moisturiser.
The Concentrate for Dry Skin is quite an unusual cream, as it’s not like a serum but makes my skin feel like I have applied a serum. I feel like my skin just drinks it up and it really adds the moisture back into my face. It is supposed to work on targetting wrinkles and signs of ageing however I have minimal of both right now so I couldn’t say that I have noticed a difference in that. What I have seen though is really fresh, nourished and plumped up skin. I’m very impressed by this little product, as I wasn’t too sure what to expect.
For an extra special treat, why don’t you have a look to see if any salons nearby stock the Katherine Daniels Cosmetic line. I’m hoping that I can book in for a full body massage soon as it’s not just my face that needs extra help right now, I think my back does to!
