The June 2016 Birchbox

I’ve been a little bit lax with my Birchbox posts lately, and I must be totally honest but I haven’t really felt the love for them over the last few months. After seeing several products that have been featured before, I felt like I needed a break from the subscription boxes and see if the love would return. June came by and my June 2016 Birchbox dropped on my doorstep. Expecting the same old, I opened the box and my, was I in for a treat. Boom! I am back in love with the Birchbox and it’s new and improved box.

June is the time to start thinking of summer, so the tropical printed green vibrant box was right up my street. Featuring the new pull out drawer, not only is the box pretty but also functional as well. If these continue to be this design, I can make a whole new storage system for my samples. Alas, it’s a June only thing, but I think if we tweet them enough, they’ll change their ways! As usual each product in the box is available full size in the Birchbox shop, and if you use my referral code you can get £5 to spend in the shop.

Inside this month’s box are five luxury beauty products including one full size product. I was really excited to see the Laura Mercier Soufflé Body Créme in Ambre Vanillé. Its one of my absolute favourite scents from Laura Mercier and not only does it smell insanely good, but it’s one of the most luxurious treats you can give to your body. Thick and rich, the créme hydrates and soothes the skin and it feels so fabulous after your evening shower.

The James Read Overnight Tan Sleep Mask Tan for face is another must for no fuss overnight tanning. The product goes on clear, which is perfect if you have white bedding, and develops into a golden glow in around 8 hours. From past experience, it doesn’t go too orange, nor does it go patchy or streaky.

I love Percy & Reed hair products so seeing the Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray in the box is fantastic. It’s also small enough to pop in my handbag for on the go touch ups and as the spray is ultra fine and humidity resistant, it’s idea for my short locks that need an extra helping hand sometimes.

Absolution is a brand that Birchbox use in boxes quite frequently, and after having used several item, I am looking forward to trying to Absolution Le Nettoyant Pureté Gel Cleanser. I do like a nice light gel cleanser, as they leave skin feeling really fresh and refreshed.

Finally, the Jelly Pong Pong Paradise Pigment makes up the five products. The full size Cake Pop pigment pop is a multi use cheek and lip colour that really injects vibrancy into your face. A little goes a long way, and as well as it being really hydrating, its equally as gorgeous on the cheeks as it is on the lips.

I’ve been really pleased with this months box, and I’m looking forward to seeing what turns up in July’s. I do know that Millie Mackintosh has collaborated with Birchbox and that there will be a full size LOC colour in there. I won’t spoil it further!

  • The July box sounds awesome! This box seems a little boring to me, probably because I only really get excited over makeup and not so much hair or skincare products, but even so they sound like great quality products. I love Percy Reed too, great post! Love Millie so can’t wait to see next month#s Birchbox haul xxx
