I cannot believe we are in August already! I have been in the beauty blogging world for just over a month now and have loved every minute of it so far. I didn’t think about doing an empties post until it was too late, so I only have a few bits and pieces to show you this month. I’m sure Augusts empties will be twice as big now!
This month I’ve been really into my cleansing routine, a bit more than normal. After reading Caroline Hirons blog on a frequent basis, I’ve been learning about the actual ingredients inside products and tailoring my Skincare routine by listening to my skin a bit more. So before I go out and buy a whole new Skincare system, I’m using up the old. Two of my favourites are from Liz Earle. First, the Cleanse and Polish, see full blog post here and the second is the Gentle Face Exfoliator. This Exfoliator is fantastic for my skin when I have been flying. It gives me a much brighter complexion and there is no limit on how many times you can use it per week as it is so gentle. The jojoba microbeads aren’t in anyway harsh on my skin and i feel so clean and unclogged when I use it.
I’ve been trying to use up some of my perfumes lately as I have so many. I’ve been wearing Victor and Rolf Flowerbomb for work. I adore this scent, I adore the bottle and it lasts for a good few hours which is a very good thing too. The perfume has base notes of patchouli and musk, heart notes of jasmine, rose, freesia and orchid and top notes of bergamot and green tea. It’s a delightfully seductive oriental fragrance and its back on my repurchase list.
Every time I go to the States I alway pop in Bath and Body Works and come out with another five antibacterial hand soaps as they’re usually on offer. I tend to buy the same ones, and colour coordinate them with the rooms they are going in! My favourites are Midnight Pomegranate, Caribbean Escape and Fresh Market Apple. I’ve just had a little nosy at the website and the new autumn scents are online. I need a trip to the USA now!!
My final empty is the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess. I’m not going to harp on too much about this as I will be featuring it in a blog post very soon. What I will say however is that I go through one of these a month and continuously have it on my ‘To Buy’ list. Favourite mascara? Without a doubt, it has to be this one!
