Falling behind with my blog has been rather painful lately. Not only do I have tons of amazing things to share with you, but I want my site to be working perfectly after it got hacked. I have finally managed to get everything sorted out and although I am running about 4 weeks behind, I am finally starting to get back on track. After not receiving a Cohorted box for several months, I’ve recently been in receipt of the July box. The August box will be being dispatched very soon so although this is a bit late to the party, it may just affirm your reasons for wanting to get signed up.
The Cohorted Black Edition Beauty Box, £35, is a little slice of luxury and I have been more than impressed with the July offering. With my history of Cohorted boxes, I have had really good boxes, however in the months where I wasn’t receiving them, I did read some negative reviews. With that in mind, I opened the July box with an open mind, and I was pleasantly surprised with the contents.
NARS Monoi Body Glow 2, worth £25.00.
HD Brows Sculpt & Glow Palette, worth £45.00.
Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil, worth £10.00.
Vintage Cosmetics Company Blending Sponge, worth £5.95.
Bellapierre Mineral Lipstick in Envy, worth £17
Bellapierre Waterproof Gel Lipliner in Cinnamon, worth £17
Featuring six items, with well known brands such as NARS and HD Brows, which have since rebranded to High Definition Beauty, I was so happy with the contents, especially when the box contents total £120. Out of the six products, I have only tired 3 of them previously, with three items being brand new to me.
The NARS Monoi Body Glow 2 is a real luxury product, which I have used in the past. It smells amazing and as it is a dry oil, it can be used on the body, hair and face if you so wish. I love this simply for the scent – a tropical holiday in a bottle. It does leave the skin with a gorgeous, non sticky glow that really does enhance the tan. I can’t find this exact product online in this size, however the 100ml bottle is available to buy for £44.
HD Brows as mentioned before, have rebranded to High Definition Beauty and with the rebrand, they have extended their product range and salons across the UK. I was really excited to see the HD Brows Sculpt and Glow palette, as I am a tad highlighter obsessed. The contour shade works well on my olive skin, but the highlighter is the stand out shade in this palette. Infused with argan oil, it glides across skin and doesn’t settle into pores.
I’ve used the Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil in the past and I have been very impressed in how it makes such light work of make up removal. In fact, having this deluxe sample size has made me more determined to pick up a full size bottle soon.
Although The Vintage Cosmetics Company doesn’t really fit with the luxury of the rest of the products, I do love seeing their products. I have yet to try a product from The Vintage Cosmetics Company that I don’t like and their range of tools and accessories are affordable and of excellent quality. I’m so happy I have back up makeup blending sponges for when I’m washing my others.
BellaPierre keep appearing in several beauty boxes and I’ve never really paid much attention to them in the past. The Mineral Lipstick in Envy is a deep dusky pink shade with a semi sheer finish. On my lips, it does look like a ‘my lips but better’ shade and I found the wear to be comfortable and mildly hydrating. The waterproof gel liner in Cinnamon is a tad to dark for my liking, and I felt quite 90’s wearing it, but I did find it to be reasonably long lasting for a lip liner, and it drew on smoothly and easily.
I’m not sure how Cohorted are going to top this box, so I’m hoping that the August box has some amazing products in it. For my first box back with Cohorted, I am so pleased with the months offerings, so it has secured my love for the box, once again.
If you want a Cohorted box, then you need to be quick as there are limited numbers made each month.
