I swear that Selfridges will be the root cause of my lack of money however I am thoroughly enjoying everything that I am buying. Whilst I was having a bit of spree, I picked up the Charlotte Tilbury Stars in Your Eyes palette as well as this incredibly Christmassy Huda Beauty Festive Red Glitter Lip Tin. As soon as I spotted it, I knew that I had to have it. I mean, just look at it! We can forgive the bits of red glitter that are getting everywhere as this would make such a fab Christmas present for the one you love, or even for self gifting.
Inside the glitter tin, a full sized Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Cheerleader, a mini Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cheerleader and a mini Huda Beauty Lip Strobe in Saucy. On first impressions, I thought that the contents and the tin were a great price for £29 and a great way to try the brand before buying the full sized items. I have never tried Huda Beauty before so I have been more than impressed with the products inside
The Lip Contour in Cheerleader has to be one of the nicest lip pencils that I’ve tried. Soft and creamy, it doesn’t pull or drag the skin which gives a perfect line. It also doesn’t budge and it needs a good oil based remover to remove all traces. Pretty impressive for a lip pencil indeed.
As I’ve been a die hard fan of the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks for so long, other brands haven’t had chance to get a look in. This will definitely change after using the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Cheerleader. Considering that most liquid matte lips can be dry, tight and flaky, I haven’t found this to be the case with the Huda Beauty. Easy to apply, with a really nicely angled doe foot applicator for precision applying, the lipstick goes on smoothly with minimal swiping. Opaque, full colour and no patchiness. It really is a dream product and now it’s got me thinking about treating myself to a few more shades.
The Huda Beauty Lip Strobe is something else. Used to create a unique finish on any lip look, the Lip Strobe formulation of crushed pearl, shimmering iridescence and intense pigment leaves the most wonderful finish. Huda Beauty Lip Strobe in Saucy is a golden flecked red that takes gloss to another level.
I do prefer the red lips without the Lip Strobe but I know that as it heads into the festive season with all the parties, that I will be definitely be whipping out the Lip Strobe for maximum effect. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with these lip products and it really has set me off on a new liquid lip journey! This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
