Earlier on in the year, I was delighted to try out some new skincare products from a newly launched brand The Hero Project. Since turning 30, although that was quite some time ago, I have really stepped up my skincare game and I’ve learnt a lot about how to tackle my problem areas as well as what vitamins I need to help keep my complexion clear. I’ve found what foods cause an issue – no more Ben and Jerry’s for me, and know how intense I can go with acids and retinoids. You could say that I was on a mission with my beauty regime, which in a way I was. I wanted to educate myself and learn more about my skin. I know from the offset which kind of products will work for me, a facial oil, an intensive serum and a rich moisturiser for overnight are my key products.
The Hero Project Vit C-30 is a new product to me, which is formulated to brighten skin and restore clarity. It’s quite scientific how Vit C-30 works, but one of the things that struck me the most is the high amount of the L-Ascorbic Acid within the formulation. It’s almost like prescription grade. The key principles of vitamin C help to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, which I’m starting to get, and it helps to protect against damage later in life.
Each evening I’ve been cleansing my face before applying a few drops of Vit C-30 to my skin and massaging in. I’m also a big fan of the lymphatic drainage massage, so I try and manipulate my face as I massage in the serum. It tingles and it is very weird to feel skin tightening under your fingertips as it starts to work. I can’t give you a full low down as it’s still very early days but so far so good. I’ve been following up with the Vit C-30 by adding Hyasoft and then slathering my face with my new favourite Glow Drops.
As The Hero Project are celebrating the launch of the Vit C-30, we all want to know your biggest beauty discovery at 30. Upload your video to firstname.lastname@example.org for your chance to win your very own Vit C-30 worth £39. Don’t forget to let me know in the comments.
