I was originally going to add this little beauty into my Air Hostesses Guide on combatting the signs of fatigue but the more I thought about it, the more I believed it deserved its very own stand alone post. HealGel as a brand has been a much lusted after brand and I have tried the entire range but unfortunately just sample sizes so I didn’t get the full effect of the amazing ingredients within its scientific formula. I was over the moon when asked if I wanted to try a full sized HealGel Eye*. Over the last few weeks, I have been using HealGel Eye on my eye contour and the results have been pretty amazing.
First of all, lets look at the science behind this little pot of goodness. HealGel Eye comes in a 15ml pump, with the signature HealGel packaging and labelling. Fresh and funky, yet meaning business with its minimalistic design, HealGel Eye claims to ‘lift, brighten and revive’ eyes. I, for one, know how much of a difference it can make to your mood and your look when you are tired and it starts to show on your face. Plus, it always puts me in a bad mood if people comment that I look tired. I mean, yes I know I do, but come one, do you really need to point it out! HealGel Eye aims to reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and puffiness. Within the formula, arnica and Madecassocide are suspended in liposomes alongside some powerful peptides and biodynes that work together to give a collagen boosting effect. Hyaluronic acid locks moisture into the skin to plump up the eye contour area whilst the intensive hydration from the hyalurinic acid blurs out fine lines. Special light diffusing particles within the complex give the illusion of lighter, brighter skin.
Application is simple, and as with any eye gel or cream, a light touch using the ring finger to lightly pat the formula onto the skin. I’ve been using HealGel Eye both morning and night. In the morning, after cleansing and prior to make up application, the gel formula is lightweight enough to give a great base for makeup and also leaves my eye area feeling awake and refreshed. In the evening, post cleansing and after I have applied my night cream, I apply a small amount and leave it to work it’s magic overnight.
The results I have seen whilst using HealGel Eye are so good, I want to shout it from the rooftops. I have always had bags under my eyes, whether they be dark circles or puffiness. I blame my job, lack of sleep, too much sleep and having to get up at 0230am some mornings, and it really does start to take its toll on your skin. I am so into my skincare but I have never used a eye gel like this before. My under eye bags are none existant, those little puffy lines have disappeared and the general appearance of my skin under eye has changed. Whereas before I had quite bumpy skin with a scattering of under the skin lumps that were like undeveloped milia, it has just vanished. I feel really happy with how my eye contour area looks and the skin seems more revived and dare I say it, younger.
I’m going to continue using HealGel Eye until I can’t squeeze another drop out of the pump, and when that has gone I will be buying a new one. At £32 for 15ml, it isn’t the most purse friendly eye cream but compared to my previous eye gel, the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye which is £40 for 15ml, I think I would rather have the HealGel. With the results I have seen, it is seriously making me want to invest in the HealGel Face for when my Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme runs out.
