The exhaustion that comes with Christmas Day is unreal. The laughs, the highs, the food coma, the general fatigue that comes from spending all day with the family, laughing and eating and the general merriment is something that I wish could be captured and bottled up. Family time is exceptionally special to me at the moment and I’m cherishing every single minute of it. Boxing Day is usually another day spent eating all the food with the family, but this year I am spending a day with my sister and sister in law, as we missed our tradition Christmas Eve night as I was working. I’m expecting a hangover tomorrow! Today, I wanted to share with you a gift that I got prior to Christmas for the gorgeous Caroline from World Duty Free – a multi use palette that is so perfect for my travels that I can’t even explain just how much I love it. The Givenchy Glamour On The Gold Palette is simply incredible.
A World Duty Free exclusive, you’ll only find the Givenchy Glamour On The Gold Palette in airports across the UK. It’s quite funny as I had already spotted this whilst walking through duty free on my way to the aircraft, so when I received it, I was over the moon. A small round palette that fits easily into a handbag, it contains three layers of Givenchy’s iconic face, eye and lip products. It’s definitely coming with me for my trip away over New Year. The gold couture palette is stylish and elegant, and the gold bar design locks the palette for safe travelling.
Upon opening, the bottom layer reveals a deluxe sample sized Givenchy Gloss Interdit in 08 Sexy Pink; a high gloss plumping effect lip colour, a Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara in Black Satin and a Magic Kohl pencil in Black. Having used the mascara in the past, I’m really happy to see a travel sized version. The lip gloss is one of those universal pink shades that can be worn alone or over an existing lipstick and a black kohl pencil is a makeup bag essential.
The middle layer holds seven of the Le Prisme Yeux-Mono shadows in a range of colours that that work for several different colour combinations. From a white satin highlighting shade, to a vibrant fuchsia pink, with gold, taupe and dark brown, the shadows look like shimmery mineralized shadows but transfer onto the skin with a more subtle and muted satin finish. They are really easy to work with, whilst building up colour intensity and blending is a breeze. A small dual ended applicator is provided for on the go application, although a proper packing brush and blending brush is always ideal.
The top layer contains a generous sized mirror in the lid that looks onto a palette filled with face powders. The Givenchy Le Prisme Visage Mat in 84 Beige Mousseline is ideal for fair to medium skin, and the prism hold four shades that can be used individually or blended together for an all over colour. Each prism is big enough in size to pick up enough product to be used a bronzing powder, face powder, under eye powder and highlighting powder whilst blending them together with the Givenchy mini brush gives a lovely natural finish. The Le Prisme Blush is another universal pale pink shade that looks so pretty on the apples of the cheeks for a radiant glow.
The Givenchy Glamour On The Gold Palette is just exquisite, and for a travel exclusive it’s certainly one that I would recommend for you to pick up on your travels. Not only will this whole palette get you through your holiday with ease and minimal makeup, it’s ideal to try out the beauty that is Givenchy before delving into the full sized items. I’ve missed using the mascara, so it’s definitely on my wish list to get the full sized.
I hope you all had a great Christmas, and I can’t wait to start reading you Christmas present posts. Link me below in the comments!
