I’ve been playing around with my make up storage over the last few days, and trying to rearrange my stash into a more organised, and current order. It seems that as I have been tidying, I have noticed just how much Too Faced has taken over my make up collection. Being one of the girliest and prettiest brands, with exceptional quality products, it’s no surprise that I have been hoarding it. I’ve recently gushed about how much I adore my Too Faced Chocolate Bons Bons palette and my Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly palette. Whimsical and kitsch, I couldn’t be more delighted to have my blushers in heart shaped packaging. I’m bringing to you today two blushers from the Too Faced range, one baked and one pressed powder. The Too Faced Sweetheart and Love Flush Blushes are just beautiful.
The Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Sparkling Bellini is a medium orange coral blusher with warm undertones and a golden shimmer throughout. With three different colours within the blush that range from a lighter peachier shade to a deeper rose gold shade, the blush shades can be worn alone or mixed together for a custom shade. Packaged in heart shaped cardboard box with a lift off lid, the baked blush is really showstopping. It’s quite difficult to pick up just one shade from the blush box, so I find that mixing two of the shades together works better. The finish of the blush is a semi sheer that builds to a semi opaque finish, and as the brand states, it does give easy application. I love that the finish has a luminous glow rather than a metallic sheen from the gold shimmer, and it’s a colour that would suit several skin tones. I’ve been wearing Sparkling Bellini as a blusher topper, and using a more opaque shade as my blush for a deeper finish.
The other blusher also comes from Too Faced, and it’s the Love Flush Blush in I Will Always Love You. In a heart shaped compact, coloured to match the shade, it opens to reveal the most beautifully designed blush that I own. Embossed with a flowers and rabbits with the Too Faced logo, its just adorable. A finely milled, pressed powder, slightly darker than Sparkling Bellini but still in the same medium orange coral with warm undertones. The fine golden shimmer is still present but it’s a lot less shimmery than in the baked blush. When worn alone, it does give a semi opaque finish and the shimmer is present however it doesn’t sparkle as much as Sparkling Bellini. The addition of Sparkling Bellini over the top of Love Flush also cancels out the need for a highlighter as the coral gold finish is really beautiful. The Love Flush Blush also lasts quite a considerable amount longer than the Sweetheart Blush when worn alone, and I get around 8 hours of wear compared to around 6 before fading.
I have been delighted with each and every product that I have tried from Too Faced and my love is getting stronger with each new release. I have some fab stuff coming up to share with you, including the brand new Better Than Sex Waterproof mascara and Mascara Melt Off. I’m also really pleased to tell you that Too Faced has now been launched within Selfridges and is available online and in store at Oxford Street, London. I’m hoping it features in the Manchester store soon, as I love to have a good look at products before I buy them.
