I’m pretty sure you’re going to be thinking that I have a slight obsession with Too Faced. I’ve been sharing the exciting news that Too Faced are now available in Selfridges, and if you head over to my Facebook page, you’ll see that I’ve shared the newest products that are coming in the Spring. I’m quite the fan as you can tell, but when a brand makes products this beautiful, who wouldn’t be. Not only do they look amazing, but the quality is of the highest calibre. Whilst being in Boston this week, I did a spot of shopping and managed to get my hands on the limited edition Too Faced Nikki Tutorials set which I am hoping to share with you very soon, but in the meantime, I have two very beautiful lip colours that have been gracing my lips as of late. The Too Faced La Créme Colour Drenched Lipsticks are gorgeous, and I’m sure you’ll agree.
As expected with Too Faced, the packaging of the Too Faced La Créme Colour Drenched Lipsticks is whimsical in design, with a floral, pink cardboard box with the shade names in hearts on the top of the box, each in heart coloured to match the lipstick shade. A slim gold metal tube embossed with Too Faced holds the lipsticks, and I love not only the sleekness of the tube but the secure lid. I’ve had zero accidents with the lid coming off in my bag thankfully. I have two shades; Sugar Daddy and Mean Girls, and they are my first Too Faced lipsticks as I usually wear the Melted Lipsticks.
Sugar Daddy is a beautiful nude rose shade which flatters my skin tone so well. It glides on the lips and the formulation leaves my lips feeling really hydrated and silky smooth. Due to the glossiness of the finish, I averaged around 4 hours of wear without eating and drinking, but I was left with really soft lips after application.
Mean Girls is a shimmery cool pink which wears a lot longer than Sugar Daddy. I love how the glittery shimmer isn’t too in your face but gives the lips a more 3D look. The wear time was around 5 hours and once it had worn off, I was left with a stain on my lips for a good while after. Again, it’s very hydrating and so comfortable to wear.
For my first foray into the lipsticks from Too Faced, I have been more than impressed. So much so that I am definitely going to add a few more into the mix. The shade range is quite expansive with 22 shades from nudes to a gorgeous ice blue called Unicorn Tears and the buttery, creamy formula is one of the best that I’ve tried.
Have you tried the Too Faced La Créme Colour Drenched Lipsticks? What did you think?
