October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and each and every single year, I like to show my support by shopping pink. From groceries and home wear, health and beauty, pink is the colour of the moment. Selected products that are going pink for October donate a substantial amount of profit to Breast Cancer Research, to help people who have been affected by breast cancer. Estée Lauder Companies play a large part in the fundraising, with several brands that fall under the Estée Lauder umbrella releasing limited edition products with proceeds that will go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This year, Lauder have brought out the Estée Lauder Pink Perfection Colour Collection, and like previous years, it’s beautiful.
This years Breast Cancer Awareness set; the Estée Lauder Pink Perfection Colour Collection is an eye, lip and face palette packaged up in a hot pink case that can be reused in the future. With a gorgeous gold Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon on the zip, it’s a beautiful kit. Priced at £40, every sale of the Pink Colour Collection will see 20% of the price go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The palette will be on sale between September 2016 and June 2017, giving you ample time to pick one up, and do your bit for this great cause.
Inside the palette are four shadows, in chic wearable shades, as well as a beautiful pink blush. The shadows, from the Pure Colour Envy are Ivory Power 1, Provocative Petal 3, Ivory Power 5 and Untamed Teal 3. The Pure Colour Envy blush is in the shade Pink Ingenue and my favourite part of the set is the full size Pure Colour Envy Lipstick in Powerful. From what I can see, the blush is available in a full size single as well as the lipstick, however the shades of the eyeshadows don’t seem to match with any shades on the Estée Lauder website. It’s quite nice to know you can purchase a back up as I often find that its the shades in limited edition sets that I fall in love with.
The Pure Colour Envy Lipstick in Powerful is such a great shade. A perfect bubblegum Barbie pink, I was drawn to it immediately. I’m a huge fan of the Pure Colour Envy lipsticks, from the fab magnetic closure of the case to the longevity and smooth formula. Creamy and easy to apply, Pure Colour Envy glide onto the lips and give a fully opaque finish in one swipe. What’s not to love!
I’ve picked some of my favourite items from the Estée Lauder brands which also donate to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Have you done your bit to support this fabulous cause?
