The Essential Party Prep Guide for New Years Eve Part Two

Following on from today’s earlier post, I am taking the party prep for New Years Eve into the realms of skincare. When it comes to skincare, a change in routine before a big night out can be detrimental, especially if it causes spots and blemishes. I’ve changed up my cleansing routine and added some new products into it, and thankfully, my skin is behaving. I’ve chosen some great items that will help prepare yourself for the big night out, from fresh skin to pearly white teeth.

After trying the Natural Spa Factory gold mask as part of The Good Spa Guide project, I really wanted to try some more of the natural, hand made products. The Natural Spa Factory is based in Bath in England and they kindly sent me a box of products to try out. The Illuminate Mini Facial Spa set would make a beautiful gift, or a treat for yourself to try out the products before you buy the full sized items. Each item is gentle on the skin and smells so fresh, it’s an actual pleasure to use them. Starting off by cleansing my face with the Illuminate Gel Cleanser, it’s unlike any gel cleanser I’ve used before. It doesn’t feel cloying on the skin and lifts off any impurities with ease. A good exfoliate using the Illuminate Facial Polish gives skin a much needed boost without being too heavy duty, whilst the rice bran not only sloughs away dead skin, but has great anti-ageing properties. A light refreshing toner cools the skin before adding the Illuminate Moisturiser to add hydration back into the skin. After using each product in my routine, the difference in my skins tone was apparent. I looked glowing and fresh and my skin felt so soft and smooth.

I’ve really started to appreciate under eye masks and the Timeless Truth Hydra Intense Bio Cellulose eye masks are a god send. For fresher looking eyes, and to get rid of puffiness and dark circles, applying the masks for a few minutes makes all the difference. They’re so soothing that it’s impossible to not want to lie back and let the cooling feeling run over you.

I feel that in the winter, I need to go all out to keep my skin looking glowing, as the central heating and cold dry air really plays havoc with my face. Illuminating products like those from Natural Spa Factory help greatly, but I have also found a great little product from Elemental Herbology. In a gift set containing two deluxe sized skincare items, the Radiance and Vitality set is now in the sale with 50% off. The Vital Cleanse facial cleanser is a little slice of luxury but the Vital Glow Overnight Resurfacing Cream is one of the nicest products I’ve used lately. Glowy and bright, my skin drinks up the moisturiser and it has helped with pigmentation and skin resurfacing. I love it.

For a serious detoxify of the face, a pulling face mask needs to be done in plenty of time before a night out. The FaceTox Clay Mask has really gone to work on my blocked pores and has withdrawn all the impurities across my nose, chin and cheeks that have been bothering me for ages. The Facetox blend of Clay mixed with 100% rose water when mixed together create a force to draw out impurities, leaving soft and smooth skin that looks so clear. I don’t generally suffer from bad blemishes but my pores always look blocked and dirty, even though they aren’t. The difference is quite wonderful and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen my skin look this clear. Once this box has ran out, I’ll be looking into getting back ups as I’m really quite impressed.

There are three other vital steps in my quest for being preened and polished to perfection. The first is taking care of my hands. Looking after your hands is very important during the winter season and an intensive hand cream is vitally important. When my nails and hands are dry, they are prone to broken skin and flaking nails so I want to do all I can to keep them in a healthy state. Lanolips Rose Hand Cream is made from Lanolin which is a natural product that mimics our own skins structure and lipids. The rose oil soothes and I find that it leaves a gorgeous silky glove over my hands after use which protects my skin, even after handwashing.

Can you imagine if your teeth became whiter with light? Oh, I’d be walking around smiling all day. The Blanx White Shock toothpaste comes with an LED accelerator that screws onto the top of the toothpaste bottle, which activates the paste as it comes out of the tube. I do love the Blanx brand for their non abrasive products, and I’ve always found that they do do exactly what they promise.

Finally, there’s no point of your face looking great if your brows look a mess so the gorgeous new Rose Gold tweezers from Tweezerman are saving my life, oine hair at a time. Being a Tweezerman brand ambassador means that I am first in line to see the newest products and I can assure you that it’s going to be hard work to get hold of the shade of the moment. rose gold. As with all Tweezerman tweezers, they’re exceptionally sharp, easy to use and pluck even the finest and blondest hairs. I would never used another brand of tweezers now, I’m that hooked.

With all this pampering going on, I think I might be the belle of the ball by weekend. I’ll let you know the outcome.
