Alert! Alert! New wonder product coming your way! Gone are the days where I am applying several different when I have found just one product that can do the job brilliantly. I’m talking about the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Oil, the latest product in the Eight Hour family. I’ve been using Eight Hour products for as long as I can remember. The lip balm and hand cream live in my work handbag. The original Eight Hour cream is amazing for taming stray hairs, tackling dry patches and it’s the best thing for sticking glitter on your eyes. To find a product that can top that, well, it’s time for a celebration.
Oils are racing to the top of the beauty must have lists, with their multi purpose formulas, intense hydrating properties and luminous skin finishes, so it’s no surprise that cult favourite Eight Hour was to delve into the trend. The oil itself smells absolutely amazing; citrus fresh and unlike the scent we are used to with Eight Hour. What I love about the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Oil is that it can be used on the face, body and hair and with its plastic bottle and pump spray, it’s ideal for taking away with me whilst on my travels.
The formula is non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types. The oil has been made using Tsubaki Oil which is derived from the Camelia flower, which is known for it’s anti-oxidant, anti-wrinkle and anti-inflammatory benefits. I’ve been applying the oil straight after my shower, and it’s making basic moisturising feel like a luxurious treat. It’s also really helped with my ‘chicken skin’ dry patches and keeping skin soft and supple.
For alternative beauty uses, I’ve been rubbing the oil into my cuticles to help soften and make them more manageable, as well as using the oil to smooth down brows. For a night time mask, I’ve been adding the oil into a moisturiser and leaving on overnight for super hydrated skin. Flyaway hairs are settled down instantly and it’s a great brow grooming tool. Dry skin on my feet after hours at work have been tackled by adding the oil into an intensive foot cream and going to bed with a thick layer under cotton socks.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Miracle Oil lives up to its miracle name and I am getting so much use out of it. I’ve also heard that the oil is perfect for reducing redness and irritation so it will be an ideal product to take away on holiday and for using after being in the sun.
A must have!
