There has been an influx of new products lately with the Spring drops hitting the shelves and I have had some serious heat eyed emoji looks over some of the items I’ve spotted, both in premium beauty and drugstore. I’m loving what I’m seeing from Bourjois and L’Oreal, crushing over the new Givenchy and lusting over Too Faced and Tarte. When the latest from Soap and Glory dropped on my doorstep, I was very surprised to see not one but two new brow products and a face product that looks suspiciously like a high end product that I love.
Soap and Glory seem to be so popular when it comes to bath and body products with the kitsch pink, vintage girly packaging gracing the bathrooms of most ladies that I know. It’s funny as it seems that the cosmetic line gets overlooked when there are some absolutely amazing products within the range. I’ve been using the Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss since my early twenties, which is frightening in itself. The shade Coral-My-Bluff is perfect for Summer and this new shade is unlike any of the other colours – and I have them all to check. It’s sheer, shiny and a wonderful orange coral shade packed full of shimmery particles that make lips look really plump and juicy. Combined with the tingle factor from the plumping ingredients, this is one lip product that your make up bag needs.
Eyebrows are my thing, and it doesn’t matter how minimal my make up may be, my brows will always be done. I have fortnightly tidy ups to ensure my brows are in tip top condition and use several products to ensure they look full and tidy. The new Archery Brow Putty Dip and Brush is my new favourite product and probably the most innovative that I have ever seen. With a brush on one end and a twist off pot filled with brow product on the other, it’s the most convenient and handy product I could own. I have Love Is Blonde in this product but would prefer Brownie Points to match my colouring better. It’s really easy to apply, the product fills in brows easily and it’s really nice and light for a softer, daytime look.
The second brow product is the Archery Brow Almighty Power Glide Crayon. The shade Brownie Points is a far better match for my dark brows and the crayon is really easy to handle, once you get used to just how little product you need to fill in the brows. Although I do like this, for ease and the out, my only issue is that its a bit of a pain to keep it sharp and to a point. As soon as the point goes, so does the precision so I have to waste product by ‘sharpening’ it on a piece of paper. That being said, I do like the finished look when I have used it – it’s brilliant for thick, full brows.
I’m saving the best til last, which is the Wonderbronze Highlight and Sculpt Cheek Stick in Sun-Daze. Not only is this cheek stick deliciously creamy, glides onto the skin and is a wonder to blend in, it’s also an absolute dupe of one of my treasured NARS Multiples in South Beach. It’s probably not great for paler skinned gals, but on my medium skin tone, it leaves the most beautiful tanned shimmer that is going to look so good when I top up my tan. As with my multiple, it’s going to be a multi use product and its going to go everywhere where the light hits me, including my décolletage and down my legs. I still can’t get over the quality of it, compared to NARS and at a fraction of the price. Impressed is an understatement!
Have you tried any of the new Soap and Glory products?
