Being a savvy packer has it’s advantages. Not only have I finally managed to pack the bare minimum for trips away, but I’ve also managed to condense my make up bag into a compact, ready for anything capsule make up kit. I couldn’t keep a straight face when writing that! Who am I trying to kid? I still pack way too much, for every eventuality and with enough make up to give 20 people make overs. I think it’s a good thing that I take too much as it means that I can utilise some of the fab palettes and sets that I have that are perfect for travelling. World Duty Free features heavily in my life, and my blog, as the one stop shop for my beauty essentials. Whether it’s to repurchase a product whilst en route to the aircraft or for a leisurely browse and pamper before a holiday, WDF have kitted me out. The travel exclusive sets are my thing for sure, and the Clinique Non Stop Looks New York palette is the newest addition to my stash.
I’m a bit of a sucker for anything that is travel related. I love travel, different countries, aircraft. The list is endless. I’d seen the Clinique set on several peoples blog posts, with Seoul, Hong Kong and London as the design, so when I received the New York palette, I was over the moon. As New York is one of my favourite places in the world, I was delighted that I had a palette to take with me on my travels. A perfect sized compact, it slips easily into a makeup bag and a handbag for on the go touch ups. Inside, a large mirror for easy application, three miniature brushes; a blusher brush, a foam tipped applicator and a natural fibre flat brush, as well as a palette of neutral shades.
The Clinique Non Stop Looks New York palette is beautiful with its peach and golden toned colours. The substantial sized blusher Aglow is one of those shades that would suit any skin tone. Peachy, with a hint of gold, it reminds me of a subtle version of Nars Torrid. Six eyeshadow shades complete the palette with each shade being a repromote from Cliniques top selling palettes. Meringue from the Green Octet palette is a shimmery silver toned highlight shade. Underneath Meringue is Light Brown from the Teddy Bear Quad; a soft satin milky brown. On the second half of the palette is Stone, from the Holiday Set duo which is a lilac silver blend with satin finish with Peppercorn sat next to it. Peppercorn comes from the Blue Octet set and it’s a deep dark brown with a semi matte finish. Underneath is Jute Brown and Sahara Sun, both from the Nude Octet palette. Jute Brown is a dark brown with gold micro shimmer and Sahara Sun is a toasty peach gold with fine shimmer.
The shades are so wearable and work well together. I’ve created two very different looks, with a more neutral day time suitable look and a heavy golden smokey eye for night time. They blend well, pick up on the brush easily and they transfer with the same pigmentation as the swatch. I can’t wait to take this little beauty to New York.
As the Clinique Non Stop Looks New York is a travel exclusive, you’re only going to find it in World Duty Free before you travel on holiday, priced at £32.
