Since trying Claudia Louch products last year, I can safely say that there isn’t a product within the range that I haven’t loved. I started out with the skincare range and use the Mango face cream every evening for a luxurious treat. Whilst the brand is evolving and creating new products, it has branched out from skincare and entered the beauty world with a range of cosmetics made from natural, hypo-allergenic ingredients with free from formulas that do not contain fragrances, parabens and SLS. As with all Claudia Louch products, the packaging and overall look is exquisite and I wish this beautiful, luxury brand had more exposure.
For daytime use, I have swapped my current light foundation for the Claudia Louch Flawless Finish Liquid Face Make Up which has been perfect for covering blemishes without leaving my skin looking cakey. A little definitely goes a long way and I find that I only need a small amount on the spatula which I dot onto my face before blending with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. It reminds me a lot of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk foundation in both texture and finish. It’s a medium coverage, that looks quite dewy when applied and blends seamlessly. In terms of longevity, I’m really impressed with it’s staying power. Considering that it doesn’t feel like you have foundation on, it’s quite refreshing to see that 8 hours later it hasn’t disappeared off your face.
I don’t often wear pressed powder but I always carry a compact in my bag for touch ups throughout the day, and to also have a mirror to hand. It’s been a double Claudia Louch face base recently, as I have been using the Claudia Louch Mineral Pressed Powder. When I first received this I was a bit taken aback about the shade of the powder however it been quite a good match now I have a tan. It’s great for oil control and shine, and setting foundation in place as well as being used alone instead of foundation. Even though it’s lightweight, it packs a punch in terms of coverage and a big fluffy brush gives a flawless, airbrushed finish with no cakiness when it’s being used as a foundation.
With Claudia Louch, although expensive, I have yet to find a product that disagrees with my skin or that I haven’t loved. With the natural, non comodegenic formulas of the make up, it giving my skin chance to breathe, which is a welcome break especially after wearing such heavy make up for work so frequently. I’m looking forward to a further foray into the brand and I really do recommend you try, especially if you have any issues with your skin where only natural products will do.
