A few weeks ago I had a wonderful afternoon in Space NK with the adorable Jini, head of PR for Space NK. I was given the opportunity to have a good old chin wag, whilst we looked at the new, the cult and the holy grail of products whilst browsing the Manchester store. To say I was in my element was an understatement. Not only was it amazing to chat to a like minded person, but it was so nice to have some insider information on some products that were totally new to me. After feeling like a kid in a sweet shop, I sat down to have a little update to my makeup. I had come straight from work so my work face had been on since 3am that morning and was in dire need of a touch up.
Sitting down with the make up artist was a great opportunity to try new products that I hadn’t used before and to also get re-matched to base products now that my skin has changed in colouring. I’m pleased to say that I now know which two NARS Radiant Creamy Concealers will be moving into my house soon. Stripping my skin back to basics, the make up artist removed my base using the Chantecaille Flower Infused Cleansing Milk. From the first application, I was intrigued. The Milk removed my make up, but at the same time cooled and soothed my stressed skin. It felt so good that I was almost tempted to say to not put any make up back on and just give me a facial instead. I was more impressed with it’s soothing qualities as it did wonders for my skin, especially post flight. It was almost like it removed the puffiness. Make up removal is good with the milk, but I do need something with a bit more oomph for attacking my mascara and eyeliner situation. The Cleansing Milk consists of Mallow and Camomile for their calming properties, jasmine to help with cell renewal and Rosemary and Green Tea to fight free radicals. All combined, this makes a perfect post flight treat.
Whilst splurging on Chantecaille Skin Care, I threw the Jasmine and Lily Healing Mask into the mix. The first thing that caught my eye was that it is a first-aid treatment for irritated, sun burned and jet lagged skin. As I spend most of my time in a jet lagged state, I felt like this was something I needed in my life. I have decanted some into a smaller pot which comes on my travels and I use it as my post flight, first night away treatment in which I slather it on my skin and leave it overnight to sink in. I also use it as a quick fix mask, where I apply a heavy layer and leave it on for 30 minutes before removing it and following up with my usual skin care routine. It’s great for a quick refresh, especially on warm days where it makes skin feel cool and soothes any redness. Again it contains camomile, lily and jasmine as the name suggests as well as vitamin B5 which repairs damaged tissue. It’s a beautiful cream and I’m so pleased I picked it up.
I’m so grateful to Jini for spending time with me that afternoon, and as well as gifting me with a lovely bag of goodies, which I will go through at another time, I also found two products to buy that have been making not only my skin, but myself feel de-stressed and happy.
The whole range of Chantecaille is available at Space NK and now I have found another brand that I really want to invest more into.
