Just when you think that Caudalie can’t make you love them anymore, they bring out the gorgeous French Kiss lip treatments and I couldn’t be happier. It’s been no secret that I’ve been struggling with getting my lips back to a healthy state and I think that I may have finally cracked the formulation between exfoliation and hydration. It has also meant that I have been avoiding lipstick as I am still having areas on my lips where they are cracked and dry and very unforgiving with any formulation of lipstick. I am currently embracing the love of a tinted lip balm, and to be quite honest, I’m more than OK with it.
The Caudalie French Kiss treatment balm promises to beautify, hydrate and protect lips from the very first application. The Caudalie formulation is based around the anti-oxidant properties of the grape, which is what the brand is famous for. The grapevine has many beneficial properties which has been showcased in some of my utmost favourite products such as the Vine(Activ) range, as well as the brand new and utterly gorgeous Premier Cru serum.
In three different shades, the Caudalie French Kiss balms are light, non sticky and have a subtle vanilla scent. They glide onto the lips, giving that kissable glossy finish, with a light pink tint. Innocent has a light pink finish, Addiction is a raspberry pink whilst Seduction has a soft pink finish. I like to layer the balm on my lips to build up the pigment whilst pressing the balm into my lips for a longer lasting and long wearing coverage.
Having all three shades means that I have no excuse for dry lips. There’s one on my desk, one on my dressing table and one in my handbag for all day, everyday treatment. I have noticed such a change in how my lips look, just from spending extra time each day by giving my lips the nutrition that they so desperately need. I’m hoping that by the time that Spring does finally reach us, my lips will be in a good enough condition to be able to wear satin and matte lipsticks without having unsightly patches where the product is clinging to them.
Priced at just £10, I would wholeheartedly push everyone of you who uses a cheaper lip balm or worse, a mineral oil based lip product to snap out of that habit and try the Caudalie lip treatments with the aloe vera extract and beeswax formula to nourish, repair and soothe chapped lips. This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
