Listen up girls, I have found the best kept secret in organic and vegan friendly skincare. Beautiful products created with natural ingredients and essential oils, the Buddha Beauty Company has something for everybody.
The Buddha Beauty Company was created by Llewelyn, who has drawn inspiration from his travels around the world, in particular the Far East. Offering a beautiful range of home fragrances and skincare products to make you feel good, the scents are authentic and wonderfully appealing to the senses. So natural that SLS and Parabens are not used, as well as the packaging being fully recyclable and does not contain animal by-products. Since the first product was made, Llewelyn has ensured that the Buddha Beauty Company is an ethically ran business that is committed to maintaining a carbon neutral status as well as only using products that are derived from plants and vegetables. The Buddha Beauty Company have never used an ingredient that has been tested on animals, whether is has been made in house or by an outside source. The brand is so ethical that all products are suitable for vegetarian and vegan use.
The Buddha Beauty Company fragrances can be worn alone, or layered up to create an enchanting bespoke signature scent, whilst the room fragrances create a stylish ambience that is inviting and luxurious. Twelve beautiful scents are available, including the festive fragrances ‘Winter Spice’ and ‘Spiced Pear’. The low melting points of the candles plant wax also means that the wax is gentle enough to be used as a massage oil once melted.
I had a great opportunity to speak to Llewelyn at his stall at the Manchester Christmas Markets at Albert Square and see many of the products up close and personal. I was truly taken by the scents that enveloped the stall, in particular the winter spiced fragrances of the candles. From body butters to foot scrubs, to skincare including face masks and cleansers, I was totally smitten with the the different products available.
I was lucky enough to be able to take home a Buddha Beauty Company Day Cream and Night Cream* to try.
The Buddha Beauty Company Day Cream is a beautifully light cream fragranced with Neroli Blossom essential oils. The light floral scent isn’t too overpowering, whilst the cream absorbs quickly into the skin. The cream leaves no residue on your skin and makes applying make up easy. After using the cream, I noticed that my make up stayed on during the day with no oily patches, whilst the ginseng within the cream awoke my senses to kickstart my day. It really is an invigorating cream, and I look forward to each morning to use it after my cleanser and toner. I feel fresh, and my skin really does feel quite alive.
The Buddha Beauty Company Night Cream is my favourite of the two. For those regular readers who are aware of my struggles with sleep, this has been totally eradicated with the usage of the night cream. Using jasmine and camomile oils, the two scents combine to create a heady and relaxing aroma that clears my mind and relaxes me. Slightly thicker in consistency than the day cream, it feels nourishing throughout the night and into the next morning. My skin feels moisturized, soft and smooth, with any dry patches all but disappeared. It is such a soothing cream, its absolutely perfect, if like myself, you struggle with drifting off to sleep.
The Organic Day and Night Creams are priced at £12 each for 50ml at Buddha Beauty. If you get chance to visit the Manchester Christmas Markets, head over to the the Buddha Beauty Company stall where you can take advantage on special offers on the run up to Christmas. For those of you who would like to purchase from the website, there is free delivery when you spend over £20.
Llewelyn also visits Studio 75 in Failsworth for a range of treatments including massaging, Reiki and Hopi ear candling.
