So I’m pretty sure by now that you are all aware that I love lipsticks more than any other make up, so I’m always on the lookout for new colours and ideas to add to my collection. Bourjois have introduced the Colour Boost lipsticks in the form of chubby crayons. I already have a handful of chubby sticks from other brands so when I saw the latest offering from Bourjois, I just HAD to have them.
The full collection contains four colours: Fuschia Libre, Peach on The Beach, Orange Punch and Red Sunrise. Bourjois claims that this new formula provides a bare lip sensation, with up to 10 hours of hydration and moisture in a waterproof colour containing SPF15. Bit of a mouthful, hey!
Now, I don’t understand how a gloss can give 10 hours of hydration, when you have to continuously apply it? However, ill keep trying it and see the outcome. So far, two hours max before reapplication.
Peach on the Beach is a gorgeous peachy pink with a very mild shimmer. One application provides a medium opaque colour. Orange Punch is slightly more sheer, however it is a beautiful orange coral colour. They are very glossy, and the colour can be built up for a more vivid pop of colour. They feel very moisturising on the lips, however I noticed that Peach On The Beach does attract to any dry patches on your lips, so make sure you’re primed before use. I also love that they are in a twist up crayon so no need to purchase any big sharpeners.
Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons are £7.99 and can be purchased from Superdrug and Boots (which both have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment)This post may contain PR samples that have been sent to me for consideration for review however all my opinions will be my own.
