A pre Christmas treat came from The Body Shop, and another addition to my extensive body butter collection. I’ve been using The Body Shop body butters since I was a girl, so when I saw the Christmas range hit the shelves, it was a no brainer that I would be grabbing a few bits. I originally planned to have this post up before Christmas to tie in with my Blogmas posts but those last few days failed me and I didn’t manage to complete the whole month. I’m so glad I have waited though as since Christmas, the Frosted Plum range has been reduced in the January sales. Hurrah for saving money.
The Frosted Plum range is just what you would expect from a Christmas inspired range, with indulgent notes of magnolia, peony and plum blending together to create a luxurious, heady scent. As with all of The Body Shop body butters, they are of a superior quality with the creamy butter, although rich, is light on the skin and doesn’t leave a residue. Its ideal for all skin types, and for those with extra dry skin, it soaks in quickly, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. I have always had a body butter to hand, both around the house and in my suitcase and I find that in places like Las Vegas where it is incredibly dry, that these body butters are the only thing that make my skin go from being scaly, to looking fresh and polished and keeping it that way.
The Body Shop Frosted Plum Shimmer Body Lotion isn’t available online so it may be worth checking in stores for this amazing cream. Not as thick as the body butter but still with the same frosted plummy scent, the body lotion is quite possibly my favourite discovery of late. Just look at that shimmer! I have been wearing this at every opportunity where I’ve needed to sparkle and shine. I’ve layered it up on my legs and décolletage, whilst rubbing it into my arms to enhance my tan with the subtle silver shimmer. I have a funny feeling that I won’t have a great deal of this left in the next few weeks, at the rate that I have been using it. I’m going to have a little trawl through my local Body Shops for some back up body lotions.
Have you tried any of the Frosted Plum range? What do you think?
