I am on a quest at the moment, and my aim is to be deeply tanned, with glowing, silky smooth skin. I have a big event coming up next week and the beauty preparation is on overdrive. From teeth whitening to face masks, I’ve been upping the anti, and increasing the amount of time I spend on my beauty regime to the point where I am literally primping, preening and pruning. I though that I would put together a few favourite products, as I’ve been using them so frequently, so here are my Spring self tan favourites.
Out of all the brands of self tan that are available, I always find myself falling back to the same two brands. Cocoa Browns 1 Hour Tan is a personal favourite alongside several of their other amazing products in the range, as well as Vita Liberata, who’s Rich tan lotion has been gracing my skin for the last few months. I literally have one application left in my bottle and I am not happy that I don’t have a back up. Vita Liberata feature twice in this favourotes post, thanks to their two innovative products that I have been using regularly.
First of all, is the Vita Liberata Self Tanning Moisture Mask with HyH20 properties for an intensive moisturising that gradually develops into a sunkissed golden glow. I’ve been combining the Moisture Mask with the Vita Liberata Trystals and they work so well in creating a natural tan. I’ve been using it quote frequently, as since I’ve gone darker, I feel I need more of a tan. The Moisture Mask does have that self tan smell but once it has been applied to the face, the scent disappears quite quickly. I have white bedding and I don’t see any transfer of the tan onto my pillows unless I’ve worn Trystals with it.
The second Vita Liberata product is the brand new Body Blur Instant Skin Finish. Oh, how this little tube has changed the way that bare legs look forever. Body Blur is like a pair of sheer silk stockings in a cream that is rubbed into the skin on your arms and legs. A warm brown in colour, with a medium coverage on the skin that gives a HD finish and natural glow whilst reflecting light to make limbs look slimmer and smoother.
I’ve also been using The Body Shop Honey Bronze Tinted Leg Mist to give a quick and easy instant matte tan, that washes off. Obviously, it’s not suitable to wear if it’s raining unless you want streaky legs, but the gel mist applies evenly on to legs. It leaves a smooth colour and gives a burst of refreshing moisture, cooling down legs in an instant. There’s no shimmer or oiliness, so I like to wear Honey Bronze as a quick fix if I have forgotten to tan but need that golden glow across my skin.
Finally, it’s the product that I think every girl needs in their beauty stash. It’s the Cocoa Brown Golden Goddess Shimmering Dry Oil. It’s one of the most extravagant tanning products that I own and I can’t stop staring at it. It’s pure gold, and makes me look like a shimmering Oscar statue but with a more expensive gleam. It still contains the signature Hibiscus Flower scent that we know and love from Cocoa Brown. The thing that I love about the Golden Goddess Oil is that it can be worn for a subtle, sheer shimmer on bare skin or layered over a tan for an intense touch of glamour. With a gentle hand, it can even be used as a highlighter in your beauty routine.
What are your favourite products for tanning?
