Blogmas 2015 Day 14: Give the Gift of Liz Earle Skincare

Out of all the skincare that I have in my house, I can honestly say that I always end up back with Liz Earle. Since my Nanna introduced me to the brand several years ago, I haven’t stopped buying it. She’s a bit of a trend setter is my Nanna, isn’t she? Especially after getting me into Leighton Denny as well. I blame QVC. Since my first ever purchase – the monthly Cleanse, Tone and Moisturise Essentials Kit, £45, I have been hooked on Cleanse & Polish. I go through vats of the stuff each year and I really should start thinking about buying some shares in Liz Earle in the future. With Christmas coming up, I have selected two gifts for people who are starting their Liz Earle journey. Lets have a little look under my Christmas tree.

The first gift is for someone who hasn’t tried the Liz Earle skincare range before and isn’t sure of what kind of thing to go for. I’ve chosen some body care items and a Liz Earle staple. I’ve only ever used the body care items in sample tubes before so I am a bit jealous of giving away this gift as I would love to keep it for myself. The Liz Earle Orange Flower Botanical Body Bash, 500ml, has an uplifting zesty citrus scent and contains no nasties, so it’s ideal for all the family. Using coconut, corn and soap bark instead of any SLS, its a natural alternative. It leaves skin feeling so soft and smooth and leaves you feeling calm and collected.

For a post shower treat, the Liz Earle Nourishing Botanical Body Cream, 200ml, is a hydrating cream packed with shea butter and avocado oils to nourish and smoothe the skin. Scented with orange oils, geranium, lavender and rose, its calming yet uplifting. It’s great for dry skin and as with all Liz Earle, its so natural it can be used on anybody.

Of course, I have had to add a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish into the gift, especially as this Christmas Edition packaged tube comes in a whopping 200ml size with two muslin cloths. It’s the most gentle yet effective cleanser I have used, and makes tough work of cutting through stubborn make up without leaving skin feeling dry and tight.

For my second gift, the recipient has asked for skincare, yay. So, whilst rubbing my hands with glee, I chose four of Liz Earles products that I have used before and I trust. There’s a new limited edition Cleanse & Polish on the block and after my love affair with the limited Liz Earle Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanser, I picked up two of the new Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Pink Pepper and Mint*. It smells absolutely amazing, with a unique yet comforting scent that reminds me of Molton Browns Pink Peppercorn. The limited edition packaging also makes a great present, for myself and my lucky Christmas recipient.

I’ve added in three other Liz Earle skincare items that I think will go down really well. There’s nothing like a good cleanse, tone and moisturise routine so of course the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic 200ml was an essential. I have two ways of applying this to my skin; first of all I like to put it on a cotton pad and wipe it all over my skin to soothe, brighten and refresh my skin. I have also decanted some into a spray bottle so I can spritz it onto my skin when it needs a bit of a boost.

The Liz Earle Eyebright Soothing Lotion, 150ml has been a god send to me over the years, and I have been using it to help my eyes look relatively normal when I’ve been getting up at the crack of dawn. It’s great for helping reduce puffiness and tired looking eyes, and it’s also great to use if you have irritated eyes. As a contact lens wearer I have never had any issues with the Eyebright, so to me, this would make a great present.

After cleansing and toning, a good moisturiser is essential to make skin feel hydrated and smooth and the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser in a 50ml tube is not only a really effective moisturiser but the tube is great for travelling. It’s rich enough to feel like it’s making a difference, yet it’s light enough to apply in the morning without having an effect on the make up that you apply. Vitamin E, borage and avovado oils leave skin feeling really refreshed and plumped up with moisture. I adore it.

I feel really pleased with the Liz Earle gifts that I have for my two lucky ladies and I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoyed putting them together. Although all of the products are available on the Liz Earle website, which currently has free delivery, it’s also worth taking a look at Liz Earle on QVC as they have put together some really lovely gift sets of Liz Earles products. Give the gift of Liz Earle Skincare this year and there will be a lot of happy faces on Christmas Day.

  • I love Liz Earle. I was introduced to the hot cloth cleanser in a subscription box forever ago and now I always have one on hand in my beauty stash! Such a gentle and effective cleanser! I picked up a travel essentials kit on a flight to America and boy did I discover some more gems from their skin care line, especially the moisturising face mask and the soothing eye lotion. For gift sets and kits I find they really are some of the best for value for money.

Now, sit me under your damn Christmas tree woman because it’s SO pretty!

I have to be the baddun here – I’m not a Liz Earle fan. I bought the hot cloth cleanser, toner and moisturiser this year and just didn’t get on with it at all. It did nothing for my skin and I never felt clean. I wish it worked for me as well as it works for others, I’ve seen some great views about the stuff but it’s just not for the skinnedcartree.

    Come back.
