I was tagged by the gorgeous Jo from A Little Pop of Coral to do the Best of High End Brands Tag. I never really take part in tags but I though that this one was just perfect, especially as I am a huge lover of high end brands. I spend a lot of my time in Selfridges, so I tend to purchase most of my beauty products from the Exchange Sq Beauty hall. I can honestly spend hours in there, so much so that I’m on first name terms with the majority of the staff who work in there. The rules of the Best of High End Brands Tag are that you can only pick one product from each brand, that you think is the best of the bunch. I must admit that it took me quite sometime to choose, especially when it came down to my particular favourite brand – Charlotte Tilbury. That was quite a decision I had to make! So, here is my Best of High End Brands products.
Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer – Quite possibly my most loved bronzer, and it’s never ending. I literally use it daily and I still haven’t hit pan. I use it with my Marc Jacobs The Bronzer brush for a sunkissed glow and perfect distribution of the powder. The shade is called Tantric and is a light to medium bronzer. At $49, its not cheap and it is exclusive to Sephora but it’s a definite must buy if you are in the States.
Tom Ford Lip Colour in Flamingo – I have several of the Tom Ford lip colours but my most reached for shade is Flamingo. A beautiful medium pink with blue undertones, it’s bright and beautiful and a perfect ‘Anoushka shade’.
Charlotte Tilbury Colour Coded Eyeshadow in The Dolce Vita – This was an absolute toughie, but out of all the Tilbury products that I have, I think The Dolce Vita is the most special. The colours within the palette work so well with my eye colour, and make my eyes look emerald green. In fact, I’ve never found an eye shadow that brings out the colour of my eyes so much. Buttery soft and long lasting, the palette is worth its £38 price tag.
YSL Touché Eclat 02 – My absolute number one beauty product. I cannot live with out, and I will not face the day without getting rid of those dark circles, and illuminating the high points of my face.
NARS Blush in Torrid – I discovered this shade last summer in Sephora and instantly fell in love with it. To me, it is so much more flattering than Orgasm – even though I love it, it is much more wearable. A beautiful coral with a finely milled golden shimmer running through it, it looks beautiful with a tan.
Chanel Dentelle Precieuse Illuminating Powder – I’ve decided that I am going to start using this soon but until then, I will just stop and stare at it every so often. It’s the most wonderful product that I’ve ever bought from Chanel, but unfortunately its limited edition and no longer available.
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer – Quite possibly the best primer I have ever used, it has changed the way I have viewed wearing primers in my make up routine. Soft and silky, and has the most wonderful iridescence that blurs out the skin in a magical way. I’m nearly out of my bottle and I need to pick another up the next time I’m in Sephora. It truly is love!
I would like to tag my lovely blogger friends who I know love the high end beauty products as much as I do!
