Wouldn’t we look so silly without brows? It makes me laugh at how bad my brows used to be. I spent years rocking the 4 hairs per brow look – so thin and barely there, the late 90s had a lot to answer for. I am now the proud owner of a bushy pair of brows which took me such a long time to grow back. I spend a small fortune on keeping them shaped and tidy, as well as keeping up with the tinting and primping in between brow shaping sessions with my love Ky Dolce. I think I must have tried so many brow products to keep my brows looking perfect, but I have found that my favourite brow product has to be a touch of powder and a fine point pencil. Nothing to dramatic but clean, fresh and fluffy. When Benefit relaunched their brow products last summer, I was lucky enough to try out the entire range and I fell in love with Precisely, My Brow and of course, the legendary Brow Zings. The newest Benefit brow product that has slammed its way into my routine is the brand New Foolproof Brow Powder – the easiest way to get Wow Brows!
Most of the time, I have to create my brows at around 6am. Dark outside, low light inside, bleary eyed and tired limbs. I cannot leave the house without doing my brows, and this is where the simpler the product, the better. The tools that I need – a spoolie, an angled brush, and a powder and I’m all set. Foolproof Brow Powder covers all bases, with each necessary step included in the now iconic Benefit Brow packaging. Inside the compact, a mirror for brows on the go, as well as a two toned powder. Available in shades 1,3 and 5, I am still using shades 1 for the cool ashy blonde tones or 3 for a darker brow. I have totally skipped that dark dark brow look I used to long for and I’m loving the more natural tones.
My choice for Foolproof Brows is the medium shade 3. With two cool neutral browns, the tail end being the darker shade, it really has made so easy when it comes to doing my arches in a morning. The super cute foam brush included in the kit does give quite an intense look and as I am aiming for a more natural brow, I prefer to use an angled brush instead. The ombre brow trend is something that I would have never got on board with until I tried it out. Ideal for making brows look thicker and fuller, the graduated shades take away that block squared off brow look and replace it with a more polishes and sculpted brow with ease. I am shook.
Not only do I declare my love for a natural brow created with pencil or powder, but I am a convert to the graduated ombre brow that is incredibly easy to do of a morning. A must for every brow lover, Benefit have done it again.
