Beauty At Tesco – Along Came Betty

When I look at the cost of my monthly food shop, alongside my weekly top up shop, I get quite worried about how much I am spending at Tesco. It’s not until I start to analyse my receipts when I realise that there is a good 60/40 split of beauty products compared to food. Shopping at Tesco isn’t just about food these days, oh no. Make up ranges from well loved drugstore brands such as Bourjois, Maybelline and Revlon, a personal favourite of mine; the BD Trade Secrets range and a whole host of lotions and potions have been sneaking their way into my shopping trolley and I have no regrets. Hundreds of beauty products, but not one single regret. The latest to come from Beauty At Tesco is the newly revamped Along Came Betty range, which is lovingly decorated with glamorous pin-up girls and perfect for every glamour pusses bathroom.

I’ve been sloughing away dry skin and leaving my body feeling silky smooth and glowing from within by using the Along Came Betty Say You Scrub Me in Peachy Keen. Not only does it smell good enough to eat but the 200ml size tube will last me for such a long time. It’s really gentle and doesn’t sting, and is a great skin buffer to use before shaving your legs for a closer shave.

In 2014, Along Came Betty Cream of all Creams came highly commended in the Beauty Awards. The Very Berry scent isn’t too overpowering and the lightweight lotion sinks into the skin easily. It’s perfect for dry skin and combined with the Say You Scrub Me exfoliator, skin looks healthy and fresh. I love how I can apply the cream before bedtime and my skin feels really supple and hydrated by the morning. The super size 500ml bottle comes with a handy pump so it takes away the fuss of having to take off and replace lids of the creams post shower.

The new packaging of Along Came Betty is rolling out into stores as we speak and although the design on the Tesco website is still showing the old design, I have seen the new packaging in my local Tesco store. Along Came Betty is a great value range with products priced between £2.99 and £5.99. Why don’t you have a look next time you’re shopping in Tesco.

The packaging for this is so cute and reminds me of Soap and Glory, but it seems to be a bit cheaper! I will try and look for these next time i’m in tesco. Does it smell like peaches?
