Still swooning over the Barry M Matte collection, and the final two to complete my collection are Vanilla and Espresso. If you haven’t checked out these babies, then check out my original post on the first three, Crush, Mocha and Caramel.
Espresso is a matte black varnish. It goes on well and doesn’t need any more than two coats. I have also had a play around with a high gloss top coat to create glossy tip on matte nails, which looks absolutely gorgeous.
Vanilla is a lilac toned nude and is quite an unusual colour when applied, but the more I wear it, the more I love it. The first coat looked like it had split and separated on my nail, however I applied three coats for optimum effect. I love how these polishes look glossy when you first apply them, then all of a sudden they go matte. Its the little things!
I am totally in love with these polishes and since they have been released, they have been adorning my fingertips. They have been lasting for at least three days with no chips after using a base coat and you can use a gloss top coat to create some fantastic nail art effects.
