There is nothing more satisfying than a cleansed and moisturised face and I am always up for trying out new brands to find hero products and new Holy Grail items. A brand that I have been lusting after for quite some time is Aurelia and their range of ProBiotic skincare. With the sheer amount of skincare that I own, I can’t justify spending more money on any more, but when I found out that Beauty Expert were now stocking Aurelia ProBiotic Skincare, I was chomping at the bit. What I needed was some smaller samples, that would give me an inkling into the new items and try them out properly before I splashed the cash. This pretty Aurelia ProBiotic Skincare gift set holds luxury sample sizes and it has been an absolute pleasure to try out such a lusted after brand.
Packaged up in a gift box with an Aurelia printed ribbon, I almost squealed in delight when I first took delivery of it. Tentaively undoing the ribbon, I couldn’t wait to see the contents. I was secretly hoping to see a Miracle Cleanser or the Miracle Balm inside as I am a cleansing obsessive, so I was on tenterhooks. Inside the box was a beautiful travel sized wash bag, which has since made its way into my suitcase and has all my bits and pieces that I need for my trips inside. The bag can be bought on it’s own, and it’s printed with the Aurelia signature print.
Inside the bag, I was delighted to see four Aurelia ProBiotic Skincare sample sized products; the Miracle Cleanser, the Refine & Polish Cleansing Balm, Revitalise & Glow Serum and a Cell Repair Night Oil, as well as an Aurelia muslin cloth tied up with pink ribbon. My first port of call was the cleanser, and I had a particularly made up face that I wanted to see if it could cut through. Glitter, Double Wear, lashings of mascara. It’s a tough job. Rather than remove my eye make up with a wipe, I massaged the Miracle Cleanser onto my eye lids and across my face and left it for a moment whilst it started disolving the grease and grime. I wasn’t expecting the Miracle Cleanser to be a miracle, but how impressed was I? It’s unbelieveable. Every last bit of make up was removed in one go and although my muslin cloth almost didn’t survive the ordeal, I couldn’t get over just how well it dissolved everything off.
Exfoliating brings so much joy to my routine and I love watching dry skin and dead skin cells disappear off my face, leaving me with a baby soft complexion so I was really looking forward to giving my face the Refine & Polish Cleansing Balm treatment. Formulated with rice bran and a blend of essential oils, the Cleansing Balm sloughed off all the unwanted dryness in one treatment. I’m having issues with my nose at the moment and the roughness of the rice bran over a few applications has got my skin back to where I want it to be.
An intensive night time treatment was provided by the Cell Repair Night Oil. An aroma therapeutic blend of Neroli, lavender, rose and mandarin bring your body into a relaxed state whilst I massaged it into my face and neck. The oil is really intensive but isn’t overly greasy on the skin, and I didn’t feel like it wasn’t absorbing into my skin. It’s great for hydrating skin and I loved how my skin looked when I woke up the following morning – fresh and plumped and extremely hydrated.
The following morning, after a fresh cleanse, I applied the Revitalise & Glow Serum to clean skin. I love a no make up day as much as a full make up day and I so pleased that the serum not only makes clean skin look dewy and glowing, but make up also sits well over the top of it. Jasmine, Plumeria, Tuberose and Madarin make the serum an absolute delight to put on your face.
All the products from the Aurelia ProBiotic Skincare are free from harmful and unethical ingredients, and formulated with BioOrganic plant and flower essences, as well as probiotic and peptide complexes. A wonderful British skincare brand at its finest, and everything from the beautifully packaged products, care to detail with the ribbon tied muslins and boxes and a really reasonable price point for an independent brand. I’m so impressed and I also really worried about just how accessible Aurelia ProBiotic Skincare is now that it’s available on Beauty Expert. The wishlist is growing.
