Oops, I’m a little bit late in getting last months empties photographed and written up. Anyway, its better late than never so here are my used up bits from August.
Soap and Glory products are on a constant cycle in my house. Every time they are on a 3 for 2 in Boots I always seem to be stocking up for that elusive Apocalypse and I’ll be the last one standing, smelling sweet in my S&G beauty bits.
This month I’ve used up two products, Sugar Crush Body Scrub and The Daily Smooth Body Butter.
The Sugar Crush body scrub is one of my number one S&G products. I love the zinginess of the lime and the sweetness of the sugar. It leaves my skin super smooth and buffed to perfection and i find that when i use this before shaving my legs, I get a closer shave that seems to last a few days longer. I would definitely repurchase this!
The Daily Smooth Body Butter is scented with Mist You Madly, and every time I use this someone always comments on how nice i smell. I’m not keen on the squeezy tube as there was quite a lot of body butter that I couldn’t squeeze out. When I cut the tube open there was so much more in there. I think I would repurchase this in the body lotion pump bottle form in the future as I love the scent and it soaks into my skin ever so well.
Johnson’s Baby Shampoo hasn’t been used on my hair, or any babies that you may be thinking I have. No, no. NO babies here! I have used Johnson’s baby to clean my make up brushes for years. I love the Chamomile scented shampoo, it smells like my childhood. After cleaning my brushes they always smell beautiful, they are soft and silky and they feel lovely when applying make up to my face. I use MAC brush cleaner in between a Johnson’s baby shampoo wash and try to give my brushes a full clean once a week. See my post on the Sigma brush cleaning glove and how I wash my brushes here
Batiste Dry Shampoo needs no explanation. I think I use at least one per month, if not more. Even if my hair is clean, I think it gives great volume and turns my blonde hair into the whitest blonde hair I’ve ever seen. I always buy the tropical scented Batiste. Top tip: Use it on your hair when you are curling or putting heated rollers in, it gives a great bounce and stops the curl from dropping out.
Crest 3D White Luxe toothpaste is my ultimate in tooth care. I use this alongside the Crest Vivid White mouthwash, and occasionally the whitening strips. Unfortunately, Crest vivid white is only available in the States, however Oral B have released their version in the UK. Although the Oral B Vivid White is a good toothpaste, it isn’t the same as the American version. It is so good, every time I go to the States, I come home with loads of toothpaste and mouthwash, just in case! I have noticed that my teeth are very white and are free from any stains. I just love it!
I can’t remember where I got this trial size Clarins from, but I’m so glad I did. Its a delightfully thick and velvety feeling cream that leaves my skin feeling wonderfully supple and moisturised. I adore Clarins products and this is no exception. I would repurchase the full size however the hefty £40 price tag is a bit off putting when there are so many other body creams and butters around.
My final empty is another bottle of perfume. I think I had an empty bottle in last months post too. Oops. I go through so much whilst I’m at work. This time I have finished up Daisy, the original scent that came from Marc Jacobs and made the world go mad for Daisy topped bottles. Since buying Daisy, I have also fallen for Daisy Eau So Fresh, which is the lighter version. Daisy is very fresh and clean smelling with top notes of strawberry, violet leaf and pink grapefruit. At its heart is gardenia, violet and jasmine and base notes contain white woods, vanilla and musk. I would repurchase if Daisy Eau So Fresh wasn’t available.
I hope you enjoyed my empties post. Have you tried any of these products and what did you think?
